From the historic streets of Lisbon to the charming villages of the Algarve, Portugal’s events offer visitors a captivating glimpse into its culture, history, and vibrant community life.

 

Lisbon and Porto host vibrant street carnivals with colourful parades, music, dancing, and elaborate costumes. Participants and spectators fill the streets to celebrate Carnival before the start of Lent.

The Fado Festival in honor of Amália Rodrigues celebrates Portugal’s traditional music genre, Fado. It features performances by renowned Fado singers and musicians, paying homage to the iconic Portuguese artist.

Rock in Rio Lisboa is one of the largest music festivals in Portugal, featuring top international and Portuguese artists across various genres. It offers concerts, performances, entertainment, and cultural activities.

The Feast of São João is a lively celebration in Porto, featuring street parties, music, dancing, fireworks, and the tradition of hitting each other on the head with garlic flowers or plastic hammers.
